Job summary

Mosaic Life Care, a health care system serving northwest Missouri, seeks a Payment Validation Analyst to ensure accurate payment from payors. The role reports to the Director of Revenue Integrity and focuses on resolving contractual underpayments, price discrepancies, and denial management within Epic workflows.

The candidate will utilize Epic reports to prepare monthly measurement findings, assist with start-up for new programs, and help ensure compliant, timely reimbursements across hospital

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and H.S. diploma.
• 5+ years of healthcare experience in hospital financial operations including reimbursement, coding and charge master development and maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 coding and related Medicare reimbursement.
• Epic Certifications – Epic Contracts Module preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Analyze contractual underpayments and resolve daily encounters in Epic WQs; identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Resolve price/contract discrepancies in Epic WQ; work with CDM/Revenue Integrity Analysts to implement fee schedule corrections.
• Participate in rebill projects focused on recoupment of underpayments.
• Research non-covered or denied charges and assist with appeals with Revenue Integrity Manager.
• Identify coding, charging, or billing issues and educate staff to resolve them; monitor re-billing accounts for proper payment.
