Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking a Payment Validation Analyst to ensure accurate payer reimbursement and to analyze and resolve contractual underpayments. The role requires deep knowledge of hospital financial operations, coding, and contract management, with experience in Epic systems.

Responsibilities include identifying root causes for underpayments, correcting fee schedules, and supporting rebill projects. Travel to off-site locations may be required as part of collaborative efforts across

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum five years' healthcare experience.
Broad knowledge of hospital financial operations including reimbursement, coding and charge master development/maintenance.
In-depth knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 coding and related APC Medicare reimbursement.

Responsibilities

Analyze contractual underpayments and resolve daily encounters in Epic WQs.
Identify root causes of price/contract discrepancies and implement fee schedule corrections.
Work on rebill projects to recoup underpayments.
Act as SME on payer reimbursements and contracts; implement changes as needed.
Research non-covered/denied charges and assist with appeals.
Identify coding, charging, and billing issues and educate staff to resolve them.
