Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. in Chandler, AZ, is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist to ensure deposits are received, posted, and reconciled with banking records. This remote position supports clients nationwide and requires meticulous attention and knowledge of medical billing processes.

You will maintain logs, investigate discrepancies, assist with month-end close, and collaborate with payers. Candidates should have at least 3 years of posting experience and proficiency in Excel and payer

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contracts & government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google applications.
• Skilled in using computer applications for payment posting with an understanding of A/R follow up.
• Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement policies.
• Experience with medical billing software (Raintree Systems experience a plus).
• Experience in performing tasks that require a basic understanding of accounting and math skills.
• Proactive curiosity and basic AI fluency to identify efficiency gains and streamline daily workflows in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain logs and spreadsheets used for reconciliation.
• Investigate, research, and resolve outstanding deposits; contact clients/payors for information.
• Identify and research information to clear posting errors and follow ups.
• Participate in month end closing.
• Retrieve and post remittances from payor websites.
• Research unidentified payments and recoupment for resolution.
• Identify patterns indicating issues and notify leads or supervisors.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries and providing information.
• Reconcile daily cash deposits to the billing system and bank.
• Special projects and assignments as needed.
