Job summary

Alliance Health System is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Posting Specialist to accurately post and reconcile insurance and patient payments, review remittances and EOBs, and ensure proper reimbursement. The role requires knowledge of payers, fee schedules, and HIPAA, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Remote opportunity with potential for collaboration across departments; prior CareCloud and payer portal experience is preferred for efficient processing and error reduction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of medical payment posting experience with electronic and paper remittances.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and payer portals.
• Strong understanding of insurance benefits (deductibles, coinsurance, copays, OOP).
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 codes and HIPAA.
• CareCloud experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post and analyze insurance and patient payments to proper line items.
• Review remittances and EOBs for proper reimbursement.
• Identify denials trends and assist with documentation and collections.
• Retrieve and handle Remittance Advice notices and Explanation of Benefits.
• Communicate with payers, providers, patients and team members.
