Job summary

Sentara Health Plan is seeking a Payment Policy Research Analyst & Technical Writer to identify and present new cost-savings opportunities in policy-related medical costs. You will evaluate opportunities using data insights, engage SMEs, and drive savings delivery through deployment.

The role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, with emphasis on policy development and reimbursement processes and potential for remote work arrangements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years health plan experience or 3 years medical coding required.
• BS/BA/advanced degree in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and assess internal payment policies and solutions to identify cost savings opportunities.
• Determine strategies such as policy development, authorization criteria, process or contract changes.
• Establish relationships with stakeholders to deliver payment initiatives and policy development.
