Job summary

GetixHealth is hiring a Patient Scheduler to support scheduling operations, verify insurance, and communicate clearly with patients, providers, and staff. This remote role requires strong multitasking, organization, and a patient-focused approach to ensure timely appointments and accurate patient information.

The position reports to the Patient Support Center Supervisor and offers standard full-time hours with Monday–Friday schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year of customer service or scheduling experience.
• 6 months to 1 year of remote work experience preferred in high-volume environments.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients to schedule appointments by phone and electronic communication.
• Collect, verify, and communicate insurance details during scheduling.
• Educate patients on insurance verification and anticipated financial responsibility.
• Confirm appointments and provide location details and special instructions.
• Create and maintain patient records with demographics and required paperwork.
• Coordinate with referring providers for records and visit prep details.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure efficient scheduling.
• Respond to patient inquiries promptly by phone and written communication.
• Support coordination with internal teams and third-party systems.
• Assist insurance verification staff when needed.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times.
