Job summary

CU Medicine, the region's largest multispecialty physician group, seeks a patient scheduler to support its Cardiothoracic Surgery team. This non-clinical role handles scheduling, referrals, records, and patient communications in a fully remote capacity, with preference for Colorado residents.

Under supervision, you will manage calls, schedule in Epic, process in-basket requests, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining HIPAA compliance and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with Epic or similar EMR preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• HIPAA confidentiality knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound calls and route to appropriate team.
• Schedule appointments in Epic across clinics.
• Register new patients and manage referrals.
• Review Epic in-basket messages and route clinical concerns.
• Retrieve and route medical records and imaging.
• Process provider scheduling requests.
• Attend trainings and stay updated on workflows.
