We are seeking a highly motivated Patient Scheduler to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team.
This job can be performed 100% remotely. Preference may be given to applicants residing in Colorado, but out of state candidates will be considered.
Under general supervision, the Patient Scheduler performs a broad range of non-clinical scheduling and administrative functions in support of clinic operations throughout the Denver metro area. This role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing calls, routing inquiries appropriately, registering new patients, scheduling clinic appointments, retrieving medical records, managing referral work queues, reviewing and responding to Epic In-Basket messages, processing provider scheduling requests, and maintaining accurate documentation. The Patient Scheduler serves as a primary point of contact for patients, providers, referring offices, and clinic teams, supporting efficient scheduling workflows, timely communication, and a high standard of customer service within the clinical environment. This position functions strictly in a non-clinical capacity and does not communicate clinical information such as diagnoses, test results, or post-operative care instructions. All clinical inquiries are directed to appropriate nursing or provider staff.
