CU Medicine is seeking a Patient Scheduler to support the Cardiothoracic Surgery team. This role offers 100% remote work with preference for Colorado residents, but applicants from other states are welcome.

The scheduler will manage calls, register patients, schedule appointments in Epic, handle referrals, and maintain documentation. Strong communication and office skills are essential for delivering excellent patient service.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic or comparable electronic medical record systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional telephone etiquette.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations.
• Ability to multitask, adapt to shifting priorities, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Manage inbound and outbound telephone calls, route callers to appropriate clinical or administrative teams.
• Schedule clinic appointments in Epic, selecting visit types, providers, and locations.
• Independently manage referral queues and schedule patients per DOS guidelines.
• Review and respond to Epic in-basket messages for scheduling and admin follow-up.
• Handle provider-initiated scheduling requests to ensure timely appointment placement.
• Retrieve, upload, and route medical records and supporting documentation for upcoming appointments.
• Monitor and process faxes and route documents to the correct team.
