Job summary

Axia Women’s Health, the nation’s largest community-based women’s health network, is seeking a Remote Patient Scheduler to support patients’ journeys across multiple states. You will handle appointment scheduling, reminders, registrations, and basic billing inquiries with a focus on empathetic, high-quality service.

Responsibilities include reviewing recalls, routing calls, managing messages, verifying insurance, and collaborating with clinicians to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience.
• Call Center experience preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with MS Office, email and internet research.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and Insurance Payors.
• Experience with EHR systems preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with professional, courteous communication via phone.
• Manage recall appointments, no-shows and cancellations.
• Route calls to appropriate personnel and manage messages.
• Perform registration for new or existing patients and activate files.
• Collect copayments and provide financial information to patients.
• Verify insurance eligibility and explain benefit limitations.
• Schedule appointments and follow-up visits and document encounters.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient operations.
