Job summary

Los Angeles Orthopedic Surgery Specialists is seeking a New Patient Intake Coordinator to own the referral pipeline, perform outbound outreach, and schedule timely orthopedic consultations from referrals and authorizations.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, bilingual in English and Spanish, and comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls. Proficiency with EMR systems and scheduling software is required to support patient access and organizational growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years in medical scheduling, referral coordination, patient intake or healthcare customer service.
• Experience in orthopedic specialty settings strongly preferred.
• Experience managing referral work queues and high-volume outbound outreach preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily new patient referral queue.
• Review referrals and authorizations to identify patients for scheduling.
• Conduct outbound outreach to schedule initial orthopedic consultations and evaluations.
• Make multiple follow-up attempts to maximize referral conversion.
