Jobgether SRL, on behalf of a partner, is seeking a Patient Financial Services Counselor based in the United States. This full-time remote role advocates for patients to understand financial obligations and navigate options including Medicaid eligibility and financial assistance.

You will counsel patients, prepare self-pay estimates, and guide them through billing and payment processes with empathy, in a daytime-to-evening rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial counseling, self-pay collections, or healthcare billing.
• Experience in call center operations or patient billing preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately about complex financial topics.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial counseling to patients virtually and through service channels.
• Explain payment options, Medicaid eligibility, financial assistance, and self-pay responsibilities.
• Prepare self-pay liability estimates when required.
• Analyze patient accounts to identify resolutions for outstanding balances.
• Develop action plans to educate patients and guarantors about options.
• Assist patients with billing, payment and financial assistance processes with empathy.
• Respond to inquiries via the patient financial services call center.
• Apply knowledge of registration, coding, insurance billing, and payment methodologies.
• Maintain a strong customer-service orientation to exceed expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the broader team.
