Job summary

Orthopaedic Solutions Management is seeking a Financial Counselor to manage unpaid patient balances, verify insurance information, and establish payment plans. You will handle high volumes of patient calls, process payments, and resolve financial concerns while maintaining excellent customer service.

The role requires at least 5 years of medical billing experience, CPT/ICD-10 knowledge, and a strong understanding of EOBs and reimbursements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of medical billing experience or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding required.
• Demonstrated understanding of EOBs and reimbursement practices.

Responsibilities

• Respond to a high volume of patient calls related to self-pay statements and payments.
• Initiate outbound collection calls to patients.
• Review and monitor accounts and collection reports for timely follow-up.
• Analyze self-pay balances to determine patient financial responsibility.
• Establish and monitor payment arrangements and follow-up on plans.
• Process patient payments accurately and per procedures.
• Research potentially non-collectible accounts and refer to collections when needed.
