Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in patients with billing inquiries and coordinate with the Patient Financial Services team.
• Help patients apply for Pennsylvania Medical Assistance and Health Insurance Marketplace.
• Ensure regulatory and financial requirements are met.
• Maintain compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor work lists and queues to ensure timely follow-up.
• Provide benefit education and financial counseling during clinic visits and follow-up calls.
• Submit requirements for Financial Assistance programs and related eligibility.
• Uphold UPMC core values in all patient interactions.
