Penn Medicine is seeking a Patient Engagement Associate to support Penn Medicine practices from a remote setting at Radnor. The role involves handling patient inquiries via phone and chat, scheduling appointments, assisting with registration, and verifying insurance information in a patient-centric environment.

You will document encounters in the EMR/CRM, follow HIPAA requirements, and contribute to a positive patient experience while collaborating with clinical teams and operations to meet

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service, clerical, or healthcare-related experience.
• 3 years of experience preferred.
• EPIC schedgistration training / tests required.
• Advanced degree may be considered in lieu of experience.

Responsabilités

• Call handling & digital engagement: answer phones, chats, and other inquiries while meeting service level goals.
• Scheduling & visit preparation: schedule appointments and provide instructions, directions, and necessary documentation.
• Registration & insurance verification: complete patient registration, verify demographics and insurance, manage authorizations.
• Documentation & routing: record patient needs and outcomes in EMR/CRM and route to appropriate team.
• Marketing & outreach support: make outbound calls and assist patients with programs and services.
• Compliance & flexibility: ensure HIPAA compliance and adapt to changing workflows.
• Patient experience & service recovery: build strong patient relationships and meet expectations.
• Other duties as assigned to support unit and department.
