Job summary

Vital Care Infusion Services is seeking a remote full-time Billing/Collections Specialist to support franchise partners by collecting outstanding patient accounts receivable. You will work with patients, franchisees, and leadership to maximize recoveries while maintaining clear communication.

The role emphasizes HIPAA-compliant communication, accuracy in reviewing benefits and patient responsibilities, and the use of MS Office and pharmacy applications to process payments and set up plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous self-pay collections experience in infusion or medical setting preferred.
• Excellent communication, both written and spoken English.
• Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Research accounts to determine correct self-pay balances.
• Review benefits verification and admission agreements to determine patient responsibilities.
• Work with locations to obtain contact and patient info.
• Review monthly statements to set follow-up priorities.
• Process payments and set up payment arrangements within policy.
• Identify accounts for potential write-offs or further collection actions.
• Educate patients about out-of-pocket costs and payment options.
• Collaborate with Collect Plus teams to monitor statement accuracy.
