Job summary

Vital Care Infusion Services is hiring for a remote Home Infusion Billing Specialist. You will review outstanding balances, interact with insurers and patients, and use payer portals to drive timely collections.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years home infusion billing and/or collections experience.
• High School Diploma and specialized training in intake, pharmacy/medical billing, and/or collections.
• Previous remote work environment is a plus but not required.
• Detailed oriented with post-billing and post-payment investigative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review claims with outstanding balances and identify actions to collect revenues. Follow up with insurers and patients to collect balances.
• Review documents (EOBs, RAs) and identify reasons for denials, take corrective action, and own claims through to collection.
• Analyze denials, identify trends, and recommend process improvements to reduce DSO and bad debt.
• Identify payor requirements for submittal of appeals for denied claims; verify insurance data and collect supporting docs.
• Communicate status of collections with franchise partners and other departments; resolve payer issues timely.
• Document activity in the system and schedule required follow-ups to resolve issues.
• Investigate and verify benefits for pharmacy and medical third-party claims.
• Communicate billing problems to avoid repeat issues.
