Job summary

Salvo Health is seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to assist patients on their care journey. This fully remote role requires HIPAA-compliant, empathetic communication as you help patients understand benefits, navigate onboarding, and resolve billing or coverage questions with our care team.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, growth environment, maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating with engagement to ensure smooth handoffs and aligned messaging. US-based candidates welcome.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in healthcare billing or patient-facing support
• Ability to explain complex topics (billing, CPT codes, coverage, device returns) in simple terms
• Strong technical proficiency navigating multiple systems and platforms
• Experience documenting and troubleshooting in real time while talking with patients
• Familiarity with insurance terminology, benefits, claims, CPT codes, and coverage workflows
• Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods with a computer and headset
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; HIPAA compliant
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving processes
• Remote work experience; English/Spanish bilingual is a plus
• Must have a hard-wired, high-speed internet connection; USA-based

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient inquiries through chat, email, and internal messaging with clarity and professionalism
• Explain billing, CPT codes, coverage, device returns, etc. in simple terms
• Maintain a consistent, supportive tone aligned with Salvo values
• Follow up proactively until each issue is resolved
• Document all interactions clearly for the next agent or clinician
• Follow workflows for benefit checks, escalations, and provider-office boundaries
• Ensure all information aligns with Salvo policies and updated processes
• Troubleshoot app onboarding or device setup issues before escalation
• Identify recurrent issues and flag to leadership with context
