Job summary

AMSURG is seeking a Customer Services Representative (Billing) to be the primary contact for patients and attorneys by resolving questions about bills and coordinating with payors. This remote role offers exposure to revenue cycle processes and requires strong communication, multitasking, and knowledge of medical insurance terminology.

Candidates should have a high school diploma/GED and at least 1 year of related healthcare or call center experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; related healthcare/call center experience preferred or equivalent education.
• 1 year of healthcare and/or call center experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical insurance terminology.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls from patients, attorneys, insurance companies, etc. to resolve problems and answer questions.
• Explain revenue cycle outcomes or processes clearly to callers.
• Understand payor and state rules and client information.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
