Job summary

AMSURG is a national leader in ambulatory surgery center services and is seeking a Customer Services Representative (Billing) to be the primary contact for patients and attorneys resolving billing questions. This REMOTE role offers a flexible work arrangement and exposure to revenue cycle processes.

You will handle calls from patients, attorneys, and insurers, listen effectively, and explain bills and payment options.

Qualifications

• Flexible, with ability to learn quickly and meet department production and quality goals.
• Familiarity with policies and procedures of the Customer Service department.
• Knowledge of Medical Insurance terminology.
• Can handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Reliable, team-oriented, pleasant with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls from patients, attorneys, insurance companies, etc. to resolve problems and answer questions
• Be able to effectively listen and communicate revenue cycle outcomes or processes with caller
• Be familiar with and understand payor and state rules and regulations and client information
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
