Responsibilities

• Answer inbound patient calls.
• Answer patient emails in EMR system.
• Make outbound collection calls to obtain payment.
• Provide price estimates for patients.
• Process credit card payments.
• Establish payment plans with patients and refer to extended payment plan vendor when applicable.
• Identify patients needing financial assistance and explain process.
• Research and troubleshoot issues related to patient balances.
• Serve as liaison between patient and other departments.
• Process incoming mail and faxes.
• Process accounts in the EMR work queue and take action.
• Perform straightforward coding of billing implications or referrals.
• Meet department productivity and quality metrics.
• Identify trends to improve patient satisfaction and workflow.
