Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a detail-oriented patient financials specialist to support the revenue cycle from a fully remote location. You will handle payment postings, payer interactions, and investigate account discrepancies with excellent written and verbal communication.

A minimum of one year in hospital/back-end revenue cycle and knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare billing rules are required. You will follow established procedures, navigate payer portals, and ensure timely, accurate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of hospital or physician back-end revenue cycle experience.
• Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Identifies appropriate payment details and saves back-up as appropriate.
• Researches, validates and adjusts payment postings; follows procedures for account resolution.
• Initiates payer recoupments, refunds, and patient refunds where applicable.
• Navigate payer claim portals and understand payer functionality.
• Communicates effectively in writing and verbally.
• Operates computers and office software.
• Read and interpret English on computer monitors and documents.
