Ovation Healthcare, headquartered in Brentwood, TN, seeks a PRN Patient Access specialist for outpatient registration and ED coverage. Work from a 100% remote setting with shifts 7:00–5:30 EST or 7AM–7PM on select days, enabling flexible scheduling and patient flow management.

You will verify demographics, insurance, and collect signatures, maintaining high accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years of clinic/hospital experience.
• Experience with EMR (Meditech MAGIC preferred), fax, copier, time and attendance system, patient access software, cash management.
• Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA rules and regulations.

Responsabilités

• Enters complete and accurate patient information in Meditech using scheduling module to verify arrival dates and times.
• Verifies insurance and collects required information from patients.
• Returns calls and checks patient voicemail promptly.
• Pre-registers patients in accordance with departmental standard work.
• Obtains complete information to complete Medicare secondary payer form.
• Uses insurance verification solutions and posts notes in Meditech.
