Job summary

Ovation Healthcare is seeking a Remote Patient Access professional to support outpatient registration, switchboard, and ED coverage. The role reports to the Patient Access Manager with shifts 7:00-5:30 EST, or 7 AM-7 PM for ED, 7 PM-7 AM on weekends.

The candidate will verify demographics, insurance, and assist in pre-registration while maintaining high accuracy. We value HIPAA compliance, strong customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years of experience in a clinic/hospital setting preferred.
• Experience with EMR (Meditech MAGIC preferred), fax, copier, time and attendance system, patient access software, cash management/posting, FormsFast, Label and armband printers, hand-held devices and email.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient information accurately in the Meditech system.
• Verify insurance and collect demographic and insurance data.
• Pre-register patients per standard procedures.
• Ensure patient armband accuracy and correct identifiers.
