Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Patient Access Services Representative to join our team remotely from anywhere in the U.S. The role is the first point of contact for patients, handling intake, registration, and insurance verification across hospital and clinic settings.

You'll assist with financial counseling, provide excellent customer service, and navigate payer guidelines to minimize denials while supporting a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Customer service or patient financial services experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team environment.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for certain facilities.

Responsibilities

• Verify demographics and accurately input data into the EHR.
• Register patients for inpatients, outpatients, emergency and other services.
• Explain insurance benefits and obtain authorizations as needed.
• Discuss financial liability and assist with payment plans or Banner Financial Assistance.
• Provide excellent customer service and support a positive patient experience.
