Job summary

Banner Wyoming Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Services Representative to serve as the initial touchpoint for patients, handling intake, insurance verification, and documentation with accuracy and care.

The role supports multiple services (inpatient, outpatient, emergency) and requires strong communication, multitasking, and a patient-first approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Customer service skills or knowledge of patient financial services, financial/collection experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask with minimal supervision in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient demographics and input into the EHR accurately.
• Assist with patient insurance verification and eligibility checks.
• Explain and collect patient financial liability, provide financial counseling as needed.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and compliant with CMS and payors.
• Support patient access across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize patient flow and satisfaction.
