Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a qualified Admitting Representative to handle insurance notification, verification, and authorization to financially secure accounts. The role involves interacting with insurance companies, patients, physician offices, and hospital departments, explaining financial requirements, and collecting deposits or deductibles as needed.

The position is full-time and 100% remote, with an 8:30am–5:00pm Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Requires experience in patient access, billing, cash collections and/or pre-certification.
• Experience reading Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and obtaining authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Perform insurance notification, verification, and authorization to financially secure accounts.
• Prioritize work based on financial risk and complete authorizations for inpatient, outpatient, and bedded admissions.
• Coordinate with physicians, hospital staff, and insurance companies to secure accounts prior to admission and within 24 hours post-admission.
• Document thoroughly in the system and communicate with relevant parties to secure accounts.
