Job summary

Guidehouse Inc. is seeking a Remote Admitting Representative to handle insurance notification, verification, and pre-certification to secure accounts. You will interact with insurance companies, patients, physician offices, and hospital departments to document accounts and collect deposits as required.

The role is full-time and 100% remote, with a schedule of 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Prior experience in patient access and billing is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 3+ years of relevant experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in patient access, billing, cash collections or pre-certification.
• Working knowledge to obtain authorizations and read EOBs.

Responsibilities

• Perform insurance notification, verification and authorization to secure accounts.
• Prioritize work by financial risk and completeness, handling inpatient and ambulatory admissions.
• Coordinate with physicians, hospital staff and insurers to ensure accounts are secure.
• Explain financial requirements to patients and collect deposits or deductibles.
• Document accounts thoroughly in the system per standards.
