Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Admitting Representative for a 100% remote/full-time role focused on insurance notification, verification, and authorization to secure accounts. You will interact with insurance companies, patients, physician offices and hospital departments to document accounts and collect deposits as required.

The role requires 1–3 years in patient access or related areas, a High School Diploma or GED, and ability to obtain authorizations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, or 3+ years relevant experience in lieu of the education.
• 1–3 years in patient access, billing, health insurance and/or pre-certification.
• Ability to obtain authorizations and read EOBs.

Responsibilities

• Performs insurance notification, verification, and authorization activities to financially secure accounts.
• Prioritizes work based on financial risk while processing admissions using HQ work list as primary driver.
• Coordinates with referring physicians, hospital staff and insurance companies to ensure accounts are secured prior to admission.
• Documents accounts thoroughly according to established standards and communicates with insurance and patients as needed.
