Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree with a focus in social work, healthcare administration or finance is required.
• Must have highly developed interpersonal, communications and human relations skills.
• Experience in hospital Patient Registration/Financial Services is preferred (3+ years).

Responsibilities

• Pre-registration/registration and initial authorizations based on treatment plans.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain notifications throughout treatment.
• Provide financial counseling and resources to patients and families.
• Serve as liaison between patient, PFS, and payer to maximize reimbursement.
• Assist with accounts receivable and resolve authorization or coverage issues.
• Lead or train other financial team members as needed.
