Job summary

Remotebridge is seeking a Consular Officer / Passport Specialist for a remote, short-term project. The contractor will review questions, develop rubrics, and cover sensitive scenarios including minors and custody issues, all while evaluating AI outputs and providing clear feedback.

Requirements include former State Department experience in passport/adjudication, 1+ year of relevant work, and strong writing skills. 20–30 hours per week availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Former State Department experience in a passport agency (Passport Specialist/Adjudicator) or consular section (Consular Officer).
• 1+ years adjudicating or advising on passport or citizenship matters.
• Working knowledge of citizenship and nationality rules and passport eligibility.
• US-based.
• Able to start quickly and commit 20-30 hours/week.
• Clear, precise writing.

Responsibilities

• Review sample passport and citizenship questions and flag any that don’t sound like what real people ask.
• Write rubrics that define a correct, complete answer for complex cases, such as lost, stolen, or damaged passports, name changes, and citizenship documentation.
• Cover situations involving minors, custody, and applicants born or living abroad in your rubrics.
• Evaluate AI-generated answers against your rubrics, flagging errors, omissions, and outdated guidance.
• Share clear written feedback with the project team, working asynchronously.
