Job summary

Relocity, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Personal Host (Relocation Consultant) to guide relocating employees through the relocation journey. The role blends remote work with on-site client interactions across the San Francisco Peninsula, especially Palo Alto to Redwood City.

You will leverage Relocity’s software to tailor housing, school research, and area tours. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of local relocation knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Must have the legal right to work in the USA.
• Must have at least 5 years of residency in the San Francisco Peninsula region with knowledge of local rental market, education system, and local registration processes.
• Preference for someone based in the Mid-Peninsula Bay Area—ideally Palo Alto to Redwood City, San Carlos, Belmont, Burlingame.
• Must own a reliable, registered 4-door vehicle with a valid driver’s license for client tours and housing searches.
• Flexible to dedicate at least 20 hours per week; not full-time employment.
• Must be available to work weekends.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Personal relocation or moving assistance experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with relocating employees and understand their needs throughout relocation.
• Provide expert guidance on neighborhoods, transportation options, and local culture for informed decisions.
• Conduct in-depth housing and school research including rental trends and school ratings.
• Assist with essential services such as DMV registration and banking setup.
• Curate personalized recommendations for social, cultural, and lifestyle activities.
• Gather and deliver customized information using Relocity's software to create client reports.
• Coordinate and lead area tours, in-person or virtual, with insights on neighborhoods and amenities.
• Facilitate ongoing communication with relocating employees via phone, email, or video calls.
• Serve as primary contact throughout relocation, liaising with clients, partners, and vendors.
• Efficiently manage multiple relocations at different stages with proactive follow-ups.
• Handle administrative duties including updating client records and documenting interactions.
