Wellthy is seeking a Part Time Payment Specialist to support processing backup care payments across reimbursement and direct-pay paths. You’ll verify documentation, compute correct amounts, and communicate status with members and providers while ensuring accuracy and adherence to client contracts.

Remote role with flexible hours and cross‑team collaboration may involve using Slack and online payments platforms.

Qualifications

• No degree required.
• Experience in accounts payable or similar money-handling roles preferred.
• Ability to learn and apply multiple client-specific contract terms and payment policies across workflows.

Responsibilities

• Review and process backup care payment requests per client contracts and policies.
• Verify receipts, invoices, and banking details for accuracy before processing.
• Calculate reimbursement and direct-pay amounts based on client contracts.
• Communicate payment status with members and providers, including approvals/denials.
• Maintain accurate, organized records of all reimbursement and direct-pay transactions.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate to Payments Manager as needed.
• Meet SLA turnaround times for reimbursement and direct-pay reviews.
• Support accounts payable processes tied to reimbursements and direct payments.
