Job summary

Backpack Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our Virginia team on a part-time basis. The role is remote, with a caseload of 15–22 sessions per week, mostly after-school hours (2–9 PM) and occasional weekends.

You will provide individual and family therapy via telehealth to children, teens, and young adults, with referrals and admin handled by us. We offer competitive pay per billable hour, a 401(k) with company match, CEU reimbursement, and opportunities to grow into

Qualifications

• Active Virginia license: LPC, LPC-R, LCSW, or LMSW.
• Experience with children, teens, and families.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Committed to trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intakes and build client-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans.
• Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team — therapists, PMHNPs, and psychiatrists.
• Maintain timely documentation in our EHR.
• Support families with education and care coordination, not just the child in the room.
