Job summary

The Pan Atlantic Foundation seeks an International Area Representative for its High School Exchange Program in Jacksonville, FL. This entry-level, 1099 role offers flexible, remote-friendly scheduling to connect international students with welcoming host families and support their exchanges from start to finish.

You will recruit host families, build relationships with local schools, and guide families through applications and orientations, delivering ongoing support throughout the student’s stay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to build trust with families, schools, and students from diverse backgrounds.
• Willing to conduct in-home visits and interviews.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time.
• Reliable transportation for local travel to schools and host family homes.
• Basic computer literacy for completing online documentation and applications.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit prospective host families within the assigned area to support international student exchange programs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local schools to raise awareness of student exchange opportunities.
• Promote public awareness of exchange programs through community outreach and engagement activities.
• Guide prospective host families through the online application process on the organization's website.
• Conduct in-home interviews with potential host families and verify references to ensure suitability.
• Facilitate host family orientations prior to student arrival to set expectations and provide program guidance.
• Perform monthly check-ins with host families and students via phone calls or in-person visits.
• Document all interactions, check-ins, and progress reports accurately in the online system.
