Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a part-time New Jersey Licensed HIM Coder to work remotely about 22.5 hours per week. The coder will handle inpatient coding, collaborate with the CDI Team, and ensure CMS compliance with accuracy and productivity.

Responsibilities include coding discharges, capturing diagnoses and procedures, and validating UHDDS elements. Requirements: CCS certification, 2–5 years ICD-10/DRG experience, knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, and familiarity with Microsoft Office; EPIC/CAC

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• CCS certification required.
• 2–5 years coding experience in ICD-10 and DRGs.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM & ICD-10-PCS, and anatomy & physiology.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; EPIC and CAC experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Codes inpatient records, capturing diagnoses, procedures, and UHDDS elements.
• Collaborates with the CDI Team to ensure optimal code capture and reimbursement compliance.
• Completes coding of all discharges, meeting productivity and accuracy requirements.
