Job summary

The University of Utah is hiring remote, part-time Application Evaluators to support two teams across the year. You will review Graduate School applications in fall/winter and residency applications in spring/summer, evaluating transcripts and credentials and entering data into student information systems.

Training will cover admission and residency policies; this is a clerical, detail-oriented role with customer service via email to students and campus partners.

Qualifications

• Three years of general office experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), one of which in an academic setting; college coursework in a related area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn the University of Utah’s policies and procedures for admission and residency eligibility.
• Evaluate graduate applications for all University of Utah campuses.
• Evaluate applications for residency for tuition purposes.
• Process and verify credentials.
• Monitor student files to ensure information is complete and updated by filling in information and changing records when applicable.
• Manage daily work responsibilities and recommend changes to supervisor to improve processes.
• Respond promptly to emails from students and campus partners and to Teams messages from colleagues.
• Other duties as assigned.
