Job summary

Colgate University is seeking Remote Part-Time Readers for the Office of Admission to assist with holistic review of first-year applications. You will compute quantitative data and participate in holistic reviews with a reading partner, under paid training and supervision.

Ideal candidates are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling confidential information while meeting 20-25 hours per week during EST business hours, with some weekend work in the fall and winter.

Qualifications

• Must be available for scheduled 20-25 hours Monday–Friday from 8am–5pm (EST) and occasional weekend assignments from mid-October through March 31.
• As remote employees, candidates must have their own computer and a stable internet connection.
• Competitive candidates will have strong math skills in addition to organizational and time management skills.
• Collaborative work experience and the ability to work with confidential information are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide quantitative data and holistic review of Early and Regular Decision applicants with a reading partner.
• Undergo thorough training on Colgate’s application review process at hire.
• Produce comprehensive and relevant summary comments aligned with Colgate’s mission and standards.
