Column Technical Services in Chicago, IL, is seeking an experienced Accounting & Accounts Payable Specialist (Part-Time) to support essential financial operations for a respected nonprofit. The role combines AP processing, invoicing, mail processing, P-Card administration, and monthly journal entries, with about 20 hours per week and onsite presence on Thursdays.

Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience, including AP, AR, and GL.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Ability to follow direction, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable invoices in DocuPeak; 15–30 per week.
Coordinate weekly AP payments (ACH and checks); onsite Thursdays.
Process weekly mail with checks and cash; onsite Thursdays.
Prepare recurring and ad hoc AR invoices (5–10 per month).
Review monthly P-Card expense reports in Emburse; support ~28 cardholders.
Record monthly journal entries in NetSuite; include P-Card activity and revenue entries.
