Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or coursework in accounting or finance preferred.
• Prior accounts payable experience preferred, but entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic office applications.
• Construction industry or accounting software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor and subcontractor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Match invoices to purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documents.
• Obtain invoice approvals from project managers and supervisors.
• Assist with weekly or biweekly payment processing.
• Maintain organized accounts payable records and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements and assist with discrepancies.
• Assist with 1099 reporting, month-end close, and year-end audits as needed.
• Follow company accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Order and maintain office supplies.
• Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally.
• Provide general administrative support as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
