Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Paralegal for a remote position within the United States, requiring residency in the DC metropolitan area. The role supports attorneys under a Project Supervisor, focusing on reviewing documents for relevance and privilege in Relativity and performing related discovery tasks.

Responsibilities include summarizing transcripts, maintaining case files, conducting basic legal research, and assisting in court, FOIA, and production requests.

Qualifications

• Must obtain MRPT facility credentials; US Citizenship required for MRPT credentials.
• Paralegal certificate or currently enrolled in ABA‑accredited law school with at least one year completed.
• One year of legal training or two years of college can substitute for the certificate.
• At least one year of litigation paralegal or project experience required.
• Trial experience is a plus; familiarity with eDiscovery tools.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; proficient with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware.
• Experience with document review systems (Relativity) and basic legal research tools.
• English fluency and at least one other language (Spanish or French preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review documents for relevance and privilege within Relativity according to guidelines.
• Compile, prepare, and summarize materials for attorneys in discovery and motions.
• Summarize depositions and transcripts.
• Maintain case files and perform basic legal research.
• Index, track, and control discovery documents and trial exhibits.
• Prepare exhibit cross‑references and assist attorneys in court.
• Compile documents for FOIA, production requests, Congressional inquiries, etc.
