Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe special education needs under licensed staff. You will assist in curriculum adaptation, small-group instruction, behavior strategies, and monitoring progress, while preparing instructional materials.

In both in-person and remote settings, you will help with technology access, safety, and record-keeping, and you may work with programs such as ILC, Homebound, and SED assignments.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency diploma is required.
• No professional work experience required.
• Title I assignments require specific educational criteria.
• Mandatory Crisis Prevention Intervention training.
• Medication administration training provided by the District as needed.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work one-on-one and in small groups with students.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities, adapting curriculum to individual needs.
• Implement IEP accommodations and document progress.
• Prepare materials and assist with tests and records.
• Assist with online learning activities and tech support.
• Support daily routine safety and behavior management.
