Job summary

Nana Management Services, LLC seeks a Remote Pantry Cook to assist with a range of food preparation duties in a remote camp kitchen. You will support cooks and servers while upholding safety and sanitation aligned with NMS values.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least two years in a commercial kitchen, and Alaska Food Workers Card or ServSafe certification. You must be able to stand for 12 hours and work well in a team, with solid English proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of work experience in a commercial kitchen or vocational training relevant to food prep and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Assists cooks, bakers and others as needed and coordinates activities within a food service area.
• Prepare food and cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.
• Cooks or prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner items, coffee drinks and tray items.
• Maintains inventory of products in preparation, serving, or storage areas.
• Stocks various food service areas with products and materials.
• Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans and stores them orderly.
• Cleans, sweeps, wipes down dining, kitchen, or storage areas.
• Assist with periodically scheduled large cleaning projects.
• Removes garbage from assigned areas.
• Sets up and cleans tables, snack bars, display cases, and serving lines.
• May be required to perform housekeeper/janitorial duties.
• Notify supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not met.
