Job summary

Nana Management Services, LLC is seeking a Remote Kitchen Helper to maintain sanitation, assist cooks, stock and serve in remote camp kitchens and dining areas. This rotational role includes 12-hour shifts on a 3-week on/3-week off schedule, with Anchorage, AK as the point of hire.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, kitchen experience, and the Alaska Food Workers Card/ServSafe. Travel to remote camps and dorm living may be required, with emphasis on teamwork, safety, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of work experience in a commercial kitchen or documented vocational training sufficient to demonstrate a knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment, restaurant food preparation, and general commercial cleaning processes.
• Must have or obtain an Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire.
• Must pass all pre-employment requirements including drug test, physical and fit-for-duty assessment; travel to nearest testing facility if not located nearby.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and coordinate activities within a food service area.
• Prepare food and cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.
• Maintain products at required levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas.
• Stock various food service areas with products and materials.
• Clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans and organize storage areas.
• Clean and sanitize dining and kitchen areas; assist with large cleaning projects as scheduled.
• Notify supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not met.
• Other duties pertinent to the department’s success may be assigned.
