Job summary

IPG is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to support the sales organization with deep technical expertise in shrink films, stretch films, protective packaging, tape heads, and carton closure equipment. You will partner with sales, engineering, R&D, operations, and customers to ensure optimal product performance and drive revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business or technical field is required or equivalent experience.
• 2-4+ years in technical sales, application engineering, or packaging operations with shrink/stretch film applications.
• Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical people.
• Strong problem solver with organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expert-level knowledge of IPG products including shrink/stretch films and packaging equipment.
• Communicate product features, benefits, and value to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Stay current on packaging technology advancements and industry trends.
• Identify customer needs and develop solutions with sales and leadership teams.
• Participate in customer meetings to provide technical guidance on product application and performance.
• Demonstrate equipment capabilities to end users and distributors.
• Support end-user and distributor opportunities to drive revenue and net CM$ goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, end users, and equipment manufacturers.
• Develop and document technical selling best practices and end-user training programs.
• Mentor field service team and support capability development across the commercial team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align commercial and technical requirements.
