Job summary

Gray AES seeks a Packaging Engineer III to join our team in multiple locations including Atlanta, GA, Cincinnati, OH, Lexington, KY, Louisville, KY or remotely. The role focuses on design, installation, and commissioning of manufacturing packaging lines for consumer products.

The successful candidate will have a BS in a packaging-related engineering field and 5+ years of packaging equipment systems experience, with strong MS Office and CAD skills. Travel is expected to support project execution.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical, industrial, or packaging systems engineering; packaging systems emphasis preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in packaging equipment systems engineering or related field.
• Experience with manufacturing in food & beverage, life sciences, or related sectors is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication supporting cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Proficiency with MS Office; advanced Excel skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support and/or lead design, installation and commissioning of packaging lines for consumer products.
• Collaborate with project teams across FEL/FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement and Commissioning.
• Prepare equipment lists, data sheets, block/ process flow diagrams, and P&IDs as needed.
• Develop scope of work, estimates, and small proposals within area of expertise.
• Travel 20–50% depending on project location and phase.
