Job summary

Sentara Health is hiring a full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist for the Psychiatric Emergency Response (PERS) team. The role will evaluate patients in the Sentara Emergency Departments with behavioral health concerns and provide treatment recommendations.

The position is overnight and fully remote, with base compensation and potential incentives or bonuses. Required are a Master’s degree and Virginia LPC or LCSW licensure, plus 1 year of relevant experience or crisis experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field is required.
• Virginia Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure required.
• At least 1 year of outpatient or inpatient experience preferred.
• Crisis experience preferred.
• Excellent clinical, documentation and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess social, psychological, cultural, environmental and financial factors for each patient.
• Collaborate with patients, families, healthcare team and community agencies to develop plans.
• Evaluate effectiveness of plans and modify as needed.
