Job summary

Sentara Health is hiring a full-time licensed behavioral health therapist to join the Psychiatric Emergency Response team, assessing patients with behavioral/mental health concerns in the Sentara Emergency Departments and providing treatment recommendations. This role offers overnight hours and is fully remote, requiring a Master’s degree and Virginia LPC or LCSW licensure.

The base pay ranges from $75,712 to $114,420.80 annually, with additional compensation possible through bonuses and shift

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field is required.
• Virginia Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situation, as well as disposition needs, for each assigned patient.
• Collaborates with patients, families, healthcare team members, and community agencies to develop and implement plans to address identified needs.

Education

Master’s Degree – Social Work, Counseling, or other related field

Virginia LPC or LCSW licensure
