Sentara Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join the Psychiatric Emergency Response (PERS) team. The role focuses on assessing patients with behavioral health concerns in the emergency setting and providing treatment recommendations.

The position operates overnight hours and is fully remote, offering a comprehensive benefits package. A Master’s degree and Virginia LPC or LCSW licensure are required, with at least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Virginia LPC or LCSW licensure required.
• At least 1 year of outpatient or inpatient experience (preferred).
• Crisis experience preferred.
• Excellent clinical, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial situation for each patient.
• Collaborates with patients, families, healthcare team members, and community agencies to develop and implement plans to address identified needs.
• Evaluates effectiveness of developed plans and initiates change as needed.
