Sentara Health is hiring a full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join the Psychiatric Emergency Response (PERS) team. The position will assess patients in the Sentara Emergency Departments who present with behavioral/mental health concerns and provide treatment recommendations.

This role offers overnight hours with fully remote work. A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field is required, along with Virginia LPC or LCSW licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assesses social, psychological, cultural, environmental, and financial needs of each patient.
• Collaborates with patients, families, healthcare team, and community agencies to plan care.
• Evaluates effectiveness of plans and initiates changes as needed.
